Ron Piccari serves as broker in the Walker, Wallace & Emerson Realty firm in Landrum, South Carolina office. A seasoned equestrian, Ron is a 15-year veteran on the amateur jumping circuit. He has won numerous awards at shows from Florida and the Carolinas to New York and Ohio.
Currently he is an active participant in local area equestrian activities including events hosted at FENCE and the Western Carolina Pace Series. A member of staff for the Green Creek Hounds and a member in standing with Tryon Hounds, Ron has participated in the Master Fox Hounds Association Centennial Meet in Southern Pines as well as many fox hunts in Florida, Kentucky and Michigan.

Following his interest in preserving the local area equestrian trail system, Ron has also served on the board of directors for the Foothills Equestrian Trail Association (FETA). And personally owns Turkey Run Farm, a 50-acre equestrian property in the Tryon Area. Ron works with his competition horses and cares for senior rescued greyhounds. He can always be found when not with real estate clients out on his farm with a pair of Jack Russells and a few old hounds.
Ron’s passion for adventure has opened up many avenues exploration. Prior to his relocation to North Carolina, Ron owned Bottom Time Adventures, a marine adventure travel business that specialized in expeditions from the coast of Florida to the Bahamas, Caribbean and South America. His clients enjoyed swimming with humpback whales and wild spotted dolphins from The Bottom Time II, a high tech, high-speed power Catamaran. Ron has been a licensed ocean operator of passenger vessel and a licensed airplane pilot for more than 30 years.
