Debra Carton brings keen insight and a wealth of knowledge to her career as a real estate professional. She has a gift for matching clients’ lifestyles with properties that compliment them. Specializing in equestrian properties, acreage and country estates, she also enjoys helping clients realize their dream of the perfect second home - from a lakeside cottage or a luxury condo to a retreat high on a mountain ridge. Whether acting as a buyer’s agent or a seller’s agent, her follow-through and attention to detail are unparalleled.

A deep commitment to environmental stewardship has led Debra to become knowledgeable about earth-friendly, thoughtful land development and green home construction in order that she might better assist those clients who share her commitment to making sustainable and environmentally wise choices.

Debra’s expertise in horse farms and the equine industry has developed over her lifetime. An avid equestrian, she grew up riding hunters and jumpers in Florida and Upstate New York. She has trained race horses and spent 20 years as the owner and manager of an equine retirement facility in the Atlanta area.

An active member of the community, Debra currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of FENCE. She volunteers her time in such activities as FENCE Nature Education programs, the FENCE Golf Tournament at Bright’s Creek, the BMW Pro-Am Golf Tournament, and the Green Blades Bi-Annual Home Tour. She is an active member of the Foothills Humane Society, the Hunting Country Association and the Foothills Riding Club.

Debra and her husband, Harold, live in the Old Hunt Country of Tryon on a mini-farm where they care for a menagerie of animals including three dogs, two cats, two miniature donkeys and an aging family pony. In her free time, Debra remains devoted to her lifelong passion, animal welfare.
